TECHNICAL ARCHITECT

Main Job Function/Purpose:
This technical architect, in cooperation with the pre-sales and post-sales teams will engage with strategic customers to:

• Understand customer requirements and validate Kabira’s proposal
• Architect the solution and drive implementation
• Interact with all Kabira organizations to ensure customer success.

This Technical Architect has a technical background with:

• Expertise in development of transactional systems
• Transaction processing software product knowledge
• Expertise in designing transactional solutions in telecommunication markets
• 8+ years of experience in design of custom large scale software development projects

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

• Advanced technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design and implementation of transactional systems
• Expert analytical and design skills at a system architecture level. In depth experience in requirements specification, system architecture, project planning and implementation
• Excellent understanding of entire development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance
• Strong customer-facing communications and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated project management skills

Key Skills and Experience

• 8+ years customer facing experience as consultant
• 6+ years experience as a Senior Consultant/Technical Architect in transactional software development or 5+ years experience as an Technical Architect in the telecommunications industry
• 5+ years experience in requirements gathering, capture and analysis with projects
• 5+ years experience leading custom application development teams as a technical architect
• 5+ years in the market of transactional applications
• Knowledge of requisite industry standards: C/C++, OO modeling and methodologies, UNIX development platforms, UML, Transaction Monitors (Tuxedo, ENCINA, …)
• Architectural design and quality assurance experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Fluent in English, other languages are a plus
• Willingness to travel on a need basis.
• Masters in Engineering or Computer Sciences

CONSULTING ENGINEER

Main Job Function/Purpose:
Kabira Consultant is the overall Kabira implementation specialist. Kabira Consultant is responsible for installing, configuring, developing, integrating, testing and deploying Kabira solutions for customers. Kabira Consultant assists Kabira Technical Project Architect in requirements analysis and design and is capable of mentoring customer resources on Kabira products and processes, as necessary. Consultant participates in presales activities as needed, when available.

Main Job Function/Purpose:

• Overall, 5+ years of wireless telecommunications industry experience
• Bachelors degree in information technology, computer science or engineering
• Seasoned/demonstrated experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle, plus current Object-Oriented technology expertise and demonstrable/documented project implementation experience.
• Strong C++ experience and may have additional working knowledge of other programming languages (such as Java), databases(Oracle or Sybase), and web technologies such as XML/PHP
• Strong UNIX experience (Solaris, HP-UX, or Linux)
• App-Server and distributed transactional systems experience

Skills and experience sought are:

Required:

• C/C++ development/programming (minimum 2 years). (An optional OO programming language may be substituted, under some circumstances.)
• Participation in, at least, one complete software development project lifecycle
• Understanding of and working familiarity with OOA/OOD/OOP and concepts of OO modeling and methodologies (preferably using Rational Rose modeling toolkit as the implementation tool)
• UNIX (i.e. Solaris , HPUX-11, Linux) development platform experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Fluent in English, other languages are a plus
• Willingness to travel on a need basis

• Rational Rose (Preferred, or similar modeling tool such as ObjectBench, BridgePoint, etc.)

• Technical lead experience

• Distributed design and/or development experience
• Data replication design/development experience
• General Web application development experience
• Formal software development, documentation and versioning process knowledge (i.e. CMM, etc.)
• Other 3rd-party applications (i.e. Siebel, MetaSolv, Daleen, Clarify, Syndesis, etc.)
