Kabira’s Mobile Money element allows communications service providers and their partners to provide their subscribers with an affordable, easy and convenient way to transfer money and make payments. This solution attaches a stored value account to a mobile phone account and enables deposits, withdrawals of into the account, and transfers of money between accounts. It enables transfers from/to bank and payment card accounts and can be further expanded to any types of payments, such as bill payments, salary payments, loan repayments.
This solution leverages the existing distribution network of agents to act as cash points for the network and to provide banking services to the unbanked. The solution provides a secure and simple way to transfer money and in doing so gives communications service providers a way to add new revenue streams.
