Policy Orchestration™

Kabira’s Policy Orchestration product suite facilitates more than just policy. It enables a 3GPP standards-driven, telco-grade, real-time software, logic, switching and caching layer that helps operators further monetize their IP networks. It is used in networks to enhance and differentiate an increasing number of smart applications including the enablement of bandwidth guarantees, over the air provisioning, personalized services and targeted advertising campaigns and partner programs.

Kabira’s Policy Orchestration product suite enables operators to drive up data revenues, manage network-enterprise resources, capacity and QoS, while minimizing the need for additional investment in network infrastructure. It facilitates a number of services and functions including the following:

• Standard and non-standard 3GPP policy charging control functions such as, PCRF, service PCEF, subscriber profile cache and charging OCS proxy functions
• The ability to execute decisions and enforcement logic based on user data, such as profile information, account balance, specific policies, privacy rules and location and presence - all in real-time and at network speed
• Caching of key information, mediating data and providing stand-in capability between fast networks and slower OSS/BSS systems, in order to provide a ‘real-time’ experience.
• The capability for operators to deliver differentiating IP-bundled services.

Kabira’s Policy Orchestration product suite goes beyond the role of a traditional policy server and provides a single control point that includes the key functionalities of policy servers, charging and control systems, real-time usage monitors and profile cache platforms.
